Buoyed by skipper Aditya Tare‘s 55-ball century, holders Indian Oil defended their Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) T20 tournament title successfully by beating Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) by 10 runs.

In the match played at MIG Ground, hosts Indian Oil elected to bat. Opening batsman Tare notched up a brilliant ton, which was laced by 11 fours and four sixes.

Ravikant Shukla (34), Abbas Ali (16) and Mandar Phadke (13) also chipped in with runs to guide the team to a challenging total of 188 for six.

In reply, despite struggling at 80 for five, BPCL gave a stiff fight with skipper Suryakant Yadav’s 49-ball 99.
