Rahul Dravid paid Rs 2.62 crores as India A and Under-19 teams’ coach by BCCI

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released a list of the expenses made during the month of April 2016 on its website, and according to it, former captain Rahul Dravid was paid a professional fee of Rs 1.3 crores. Dravid, who was roped in as the coach of India A and India Under-19 teams he received an overall amount of Rs 2.62 crores. The Indian Under-19 played the World Cup held in Bangladesh earlier this year, and were the runners up in the tournament, having lost to an inspired West Indies in the final of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016.

The other payments which the BCCI has made in the month of April includes paying close to Rs 90 lakhs (exactly Rs 89,75,297) to former cricketer and commentator Sunil Gavaskar, as his commentary fee from January to March 2016. On the other hand, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan was paid Rs 26,12, 500 for his commentary stint for the same time period.

Among the foreign payments that the Indian cricket board made, the highest was to Cricket Australia (CA). The Australian cricket governing body was paid close to Rs 6 crores (exactly amount Rs 5,90,37,453) as 10 per cent release fee for IPL 2015. The Spider Cam GMBH were paid Rs 98,63,955 as 30 per cent installment of the Spider Cam services for the ongoing ninth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The Ferriswheel Entertainment Pvt. Ltd were paid Rs 4,01,57,206 as the second installment for the IPL opening ceremony for the ongoing edition. They were paid Rs 4,56,33,188 in March 2016 in the first installment.
