Former India cricketer Rahul Dravid may play another season for Indian Premier League (IPL) team Rajasthan Royals, suggests a report.

Dravid, who announced retirement from all forms of cricket earlier this year, has conceded that he is yet to take a decision on his future as a player. 

“Well, it is the family (which has kept him busy). I am giving time to my family post-retirement. As for cricket, I haven’t yet decided,” he was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times.

Dravid was seen on the first two days of the second Test match between India and New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, which the hosts won by five wickets.

Dravid was in the commentary box on Saturday and also on Monday, talking about the future of Indian cricket as well as the One-Day format.

Dravid said on Monday that middle-order batsman Virat Kohli is currently India’s best batsman, during a chat with former cricketer Ravi Shastri.

The former cricketer, who hails from Karnataka, is also expected to join the likes of Javagal Srinath, Anil Kumble and Venkatesh Prasad in the state cricket governing body.

“Just two years back, he got into the KSCA (Karnataka State Cricket Association) committee. He could have gotten in earlier but he wanted to focus on his game. Unfortunately, he cannot contest till two years after his retirement,” said a member.
