Table-toppers Rajasthan called the shots on the second consecutive day with Robin Bist’s unbeaten 98 and captain Mahipal Lomror’s 89 paving the way for a 99-run first-innings lead against Goa on the second day of their Ranji Trophy 2018-19 Round 8 Elite C match on Monday.
Resuming from their overnight score of 20 for no loss at the Goa Cricket Association Academy ground in Porvorim, Rajasthan lost opener Amitkumar Gautam early after he was cleaned up by Amit Verma for 24.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Chetan Bist and captain Lomror then combined for a 107-run partnership for the second wicket. Bist, who brought up his eighth first-class half-century, departed for 63 off Amogh Desai in the 44th over. He smashed five boundaries and two sixes during his 122-ball knock.
Robin Bist then joined his captain and the duo stitched 72 runs to lay the foundation for a huge lead. Lomror, who reached his seventh first-class fifty, was dismissed by Krishna Das, while Robin held fort along with Ashok Menaria, who was unbeaten on 66 as the duo ensured no further casualty was caused till stumps.
