Ravichandran Ashwin became the third player to score a hundred and take a 7-for in a Test. The first instance when a player did this in a Test was way back in Ashes 1921. Australia’s Jack Gregory scored an exact 100 in the first innings and helped Australia post 499 against England in the second Test. When England came in to bat, his 7 for 69 helped Australia bundle England out for a mere 251 runs. The Warwick Armstrong-led Australia then enforced follow-on and eventually beat the visitors by an innings and 91 runs. India’s victory margin against West Indies in the first Test at Antigua is similar. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: India vs West Indies 2016, 1st Test at Antigua

The second player to score a century and claim a 7-for in a Test was former England skipper Ian Botham. He is the only player to achieve this feat twice in his career. The first came during Pakistan tour of England in 1978. Botham scored 108 off 110 balls to take England to a total of 364 in the first innings of the second Test. When England bowled for the first time in the match, he went wicket-less. Since his teammates Bob Willis and Phil Edmonds bowled out England 105, Pakistan was put in to bat for a second time. Botham’s 8 for 34 gave England a huge victory by an innings and 120 runs. READ: Ashwin 6th overall to score a century, scalp 5-for in same Test twice
