Indian opener Rohit Sharma, who became the third batsman to score a double ton in One-Day Internationals (ODI), thanked his fans on Twitter after his knock setup a series win for India against Australia.

Rohit entered record books on Saturday, by slamming 209 off just 158 balls and joined Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag in the list of ODI double centurions.
He also earned the record of slamming highest number of sixes (16) in an ODI match, surpassing the previous best of 15 sixes held by Australia‘s Shane Watson.
