Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad played a superb knock to help team India outplay Zimbabwe on MS Dhoni’s birthday in Harare. Giving Dhoni a special birthday gift, Ruturaj smashed 77 off 47 balls during the 2nd T20I of the 5-game series between India and Zimbabwe.
Taking up No.3 position in India’s lineup, Gaikwad paired up with Rinku Singh as they powered through Zimbabwe bowlers and led India to a match-winning total.
With Gaikwad giving others a show for Team India, record-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK) shared a special post on ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter. The post was for their former franchise captain and his predecessor- Thala Dhoni. the Super Kings wrote in their post, “77 on 7/7 This Rutu-Thala bond tho! #ZIMvIND”
