Sachin Tendulkar honoured by Guinness on 60th anniversary
Sachin Tendulkar holds as many as 19 Guinness World Records.

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has been honoured by the Guinness World Records to commemorate the completion of its 60 years. The organisation has honoured about 60 athletes with a certificate and a medal of its 60th anniversary, which is also their recognition of the achievements of the sports personalities.
Tendulkar said talking about this honour, “I’m delighted to be included in the Guinness World Records 60th anniversary celebrations. I’m extremely proud of what I was able to achieve throughout my career in cricket and to be recognised alongside so many other greats feels very special.”
Tendulkar played 200 Tests in his career spanning 24 years, and scored 15,921 runs with 51 centuries. In 463 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), he scored 18,426 runs with 49 centuries.
Talking about Tendulkar’s feats, Craig Glenday, the editor in chief of Guinness World Records said, “Sachin Tendulkar is India’s most famous multiple record-holder. He’s also an inspiration to millions of people, not just in India but around the world, and we’re extremely honoured to recognise him in our anniversary year.”
