Sourav Ganguly co-owned Atletico de Kolkata will face Sachin Tendulkar co-owned Kerala Blasters in the inaugural Indian Super League (ISL) final on December 20 in Mumbai. Atletico de Kolkata beat FC Goa in a penalty shoot-out after the teams finished goalless after 120 minutes in the second leg of second semi-final. The final result of the math was 4-2.
Earlier Tendulkar’s Kerala Blasters advanced through to inaugural ISL final by beating MS Dhoni’s Chennaiyin FC’s with 4-3 in the extra time. It was the second leg of the semi-final and a very tight game. Chennaiyin FC faced the daunting task of overturning a formidable 0-3 deficit of the first leg of the semi-final and the Chennai based team fought brilliantly with a 3-0 scorecard after the Full time on Tuesday.
