[caption id="attachment_456618" align="aligncenter" width="628"]Farveez Maharoof last played an ODI in March 2012 © Getty Images Farveez Maharoof last played an ODI in March 2012 © Getty Images[/caption] Sri Lanka Cricket is announced today the selection of 5 more players who will join the squad for the One-Day International (ODI) series against England. Danushka Gunathilaka, Farveez Maharoof, Seekuge Prasanna, Suraj Randiv and Upul Tharanga were the five players named by the board who will be touring UK for the ODI series which begins on June 21. Sri Lanka will play 5 ODI's against England which will be followed by one T20 International. The players will be departuring shortly to get ready for the ODI's along with their team which is currently preparing for the third and final Test against England at Lord's beginning on June 9. The first ODI will be played at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. ALSO READ: Tillakaratne Dilshan to miss ODI series against England Farveez Maharoof, the all-rounder is making a comeback into the ODI squad after 4 years. He last played an ODI in March 2012. His call-up to the ODI squad might come in as a surprise to many Sri Lankan fans. Meanwhile, the second ODI will be played at Edgbaston in Birmingham on June 24. The third will be played at County Ground in Bristol with just a day in between. The fourth will be played at Kennington Oval in London and the decider will be played on July 2 at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. Sri Lanka haven't had a good Test series until now as they were beaten quite convincingly by England in the first two Tests at Headingley and Chester-le-Street respectively. They although, put up a fight in the second test as Dinesh Chandimal scored a hundred but it was too late and the lower-order was left with lot to do. They will be looking to turn things around in the ODI format.
