New Delhi: The T20 World Cup 2022 is set to get underway tomorrow, October 16, with eight teams playing a qualifying round to join the top eight teams in Super 12s. The Super 12s will commence with a game between New Zealand and Australia on October 22. England and Afghanistan will face off in the second game of the day before India and Pakistan cross swords in a blockbuster clash on the following day, October 23. Round 1

Group A: Namibia, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, UAE

Group B: Ireland, Scotland, West Indies, Zimbabwe

Super 12s

Group 1: Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, A1, B2

Group 2: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa, B1, A2

T20 World Cup Points System

Teams will get two points for a win, 1 for a tie/nr and 0 for a defeat.

Are There Reserve Days For T20 World Cup 2022?

There are reserve days for the semis and final but not for the group games.

T20 World Cup 2022 Prize Money

The T20 World Cup winner will receive US$1.6m while the runner-up will get $0.8m. The two losing teams in the semifinals will get US$400,000 (A$645,000) each.
