FORMER India cricketer Venkatesh Prasad slammed team India after losing the five-match T20I series against West Indies on Sunday at Lauderhill, Florida. The ex-India pacer believes that the team needs to improve their skillset and also said that there was a deficiency of hunger and intensity.

“India needs to improve their skillset. Their is a hunger & intensity deficiency & often the captain looked clueless. Bowler’s can’t bat, batsmen can’t bowl. It’s important to not look for yes men and be blinded because someone is your favourite player but look at the larger good” said Prasad in a Tweet.

With this victory, West Indies won their first T20I series against India since 2017. Romario Shepherd’s fiery four-wicket haul and Akeal Hosein’s early blows helped West Indies restrict India to 165/9 in the fifth and final T20I.
Suryakumar Yadav played a vital 61 runs off 45 balls while most of the other batters struggled in the series decider against West Indies.
For the West Indies, Shepherd was the wrecker-in-chief with four wickets while Akeal Hosein and Jason Holder scalped two wickets apiece.

Process And Such Words Are Misused Now MS Dhoni Meant It: Venkatesh Prasad

Venkatesh Prasad also believes that there is no consistency in selection random stuff happening too much.

“They are responsible for the debacle and need to be accountable. Process and such words are misused now. MS meant it, guys now just use the word. There is no consistency in selection, random stuff happening too much” tweeted Prasad.

Prasad also said that the hunger and fire is missing from team India.

“Not just 50 overs, West Indies had failed to qualify for the T20 World cup last Oct- Nov as well. It pains to see India perform poorly and brush it under the carpet, under the garb of process. That hunger, fire is missing and we live in an illusion” said Prasad.
