After the inception of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, the bonding between the Indian and the overseas players has only grown. The entry of the foreign stars has added a rich variety and glamour to the game of cricket and the sport has only grown in India. The IPL offers a festive period where parties and socializing have reached a different level. One such team is the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), owned by tycoon Vijay Mallya. With RCB comprising of superstars like Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers, RCB camp is a true fun place.
In this video, the RCB insider gatecrashed the side’s post match party, after they steamrolled Delhi Daredevils (DD) at Feroz Shah Kotla on Sunday.
The video starts with the RCB bus arriving in a hotel and fans waiting with their mobiles for just a glimpse. Varun Aaron, who was the man-of-the-match against DD for his stellar performance with the ball, shares the cake with his team owner.
Nags, the RCB insider first mistakes Iqbal Abdullah for Kohli and apologises saying ‘Peas’. The next is the big Jamaican Gayle, who says he loves Bangalore and will give a couple of wins at home. He then gives a hearty laugh when he hears the city’s name Gulbarga and thank them for their continued support.
The insider next catches up with de Villiers and asks about his plans and says him it’s time for him to take the citizenship in India. The South African says he will only move to Bangalore as it is the best city in India.
The commentators often goof up with the pronunciation of Aaron as ‘Arun’ and Nags tickles him by asking the bowler to give a message to all those who misspell the name. Aaron denies giving any message and also reveals his secret for his performance against the hapless JP Duminy led DD side. In between the conversation, Mallya gives an ‘epic video bomb’.
RCB pacer Ashoke Dinda is upset with Nags, with the latter using the former’s headband. Dinda discloses why he hasn’t made it to the playing so far in this season and blames Nags for wearing the headband.
Mitchell Starc has been the architect for RCB’s resurgence and hopes the fans turn up in good numbers in the couple of home matches at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Nags then asks head coach Daniel Vettori about RCB’s triumph against DD and the New Zealander credits it to his spin twins, Yuzvendra Chahal and Abdullah.
RCB are slated to play their next two games against Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday and Saturday respectively.
