IPL 2021, KKR vs MI: Mumbai Indians Snatch Victory From Kolkata Knight Riders’ Jaw in Thrilling Contest

Mumbai Indians (MI) rallied to pull off a 10-run win as profligate Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsmen threw away their wickets to make a mess of a modest 152-run target in an Indian Premier League match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday.

After De Kock’s Departure, Suryakumar Yadav (56 off 36 balls) decided to take on the KKR attack and began playing his shots after the spinners, who bowled five of the six power-play overs, had curtailed MI. (© PTI)

Mumbai witnessed the collapse in the business end of their innings and lost seven wickets for just 37 runs. Andre Russell claimed a five-wicket haul in his 2 over spell. Mumbai were all-out for 152 in 20 overs. (© PTI)

Chasing the moderate target of 153, KKR started well with a solid 72-run stand for the opening wicket between Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana. Shubman once again threw his wicket away after a bright start and was dismissed for 33. (© PTI)
