England women lost their tournament-opener of ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 to Indian eves, but have made it to the semi-finals with back-to-back victories and one game to spare. Facing New Zealand in the second last group stage match, Heather Knight-led England won the game by 75 runs owing to Natalie Sciver’s second century of the current edition.  Knight, who is leading her national side in World Cup for the first time, was happy with her side’s progress after early blip. She credited every player for standing up in tough times and hopes to continue momentum in the remaining tie versus West Indies ahead of knockouts. England remain on top of the points table with 5 wins from 6 games.
